How many devices can be added to a network map and how many sensors (Shooters in Monitor one terminology) can be active at the same time?
With an L-type (unlimited) license key and powerful hardware, you can add up to 5000 devices to a network map and poll them periodically for uptime. There's no limitation on the number of sensors that can be run simultaneously.
Can I use Monitor one to retrieve perfmon statistics from Microsoft Windows Workstations and/or Servers?
Yes! You can basically monitor every MIB field from an any SNMP agent. Make sure that you've installed the required SNMP agents on your windows machines.
Something you need to know:
Microsoft does no longer support PERFMIB.DLL (the agent software that makes the perfmon statistics accessible through SNMP). Instead you can use another useful tool called "SNMP Informant". Full details on this product's functionality and supported objects can be found on the SNMP Informant web site: www.snmp-informant.com. You can install the "Free Standard Edition" on all systems from which you want to monitor Processor, Memory, Disk and Network statistics.
Can history information be extracted from your logs in order to be used in spreadsheets or reports?
Yes, the information stored in the logging databases can be exported to text files. By default history information is kept two years in the databases.
Does Monitor one provide a web interface and how many users can use it simultaneously?
Yes, Monitor one does provide a web interface (powered by Apache). The number of concurrent web-interface users is undefined, which means, is not determined by technical or programmatic limitations.
Can I get the Monitor one network monitor software on CD-ROM?

What do the characters FP as part of the version number stand for?
FP stands for 'Full Package'. It means: the complete software package including the Help file, some samples etc.
You use a local database engine (Firebird SQL) and it is recommended to store the network maps database on the local drive. Why is that?
There is a very good reason to store the Monitor one database on the local drive! In case of a major (critical) network failure it is very important that Monitor one keeps running. It provides the important information about what is going on! If the database is stored on a server-drive, this drive might become disconnected because of the network failure!
Can Monitor one be used with another database engine ie Microsoft SQL Server
No this is not supported! Firebird has a smaller footprint, is faster, is Free and provides all the functionalities we need for Monitor one!
I like your real-time and History graphing features very much but I should like to have some more statistical information related to the Historical graphs. for instance: totals, average, min, max.
Thanks for your suggestion. We have already put it on the 'to do' list.

How is Monitor one priced? (Per user, per device?) One license per Management station?

- S-type license for small networks (< 50 managed nodes).
- M-type license for medium sized networks (< 200 managed nodes).
